£12m Arsenal defensive target wants out of Man City, Turkish giants in talks

Manchester City defender Jason Denayer wants to leave the Premier League giants in pursuit of first team football this season according to Futbol Arena.

Per the source, Denayer is keen on a Galatasaray return after settling into life in Turkey and establishing himself as an important member of the squad.

The 21-year-old defender was left out of the City match day squad today going into the Stoke City clash that the Citizens ended up winning 5-1.

Man City confirmed line up: Caballero, Zabaleta (C), Kolarov, Stones, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Navas, Silva, Sterling, De Bruyne, Aguero
Subs: Hart, Fernando, Maffeo, Nolito, Delph, Clichy, Iheanacho

Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nazifoglu has hinted that Galatasaray may pull out of the race to sign Manchester City defender Jason Denayer.

Nazifoglu only recently confirmed talks with City over loaning Denayer but he admitted that the deal may hit the rocks following Aurelian Chedjou signing a new contract with the club.

“We were seeking Denayer as a replacement for Chedjou but he will now stay with us and signed a new deal,” Nazifoglu was quoted as saying by Turkish-football.

“We are still interested but we will see.

Arsenal are also reported to be in the race according to The Sun who reportedly want £12 million for the Belgium international defender.

The Gunners priority is Valencia defender Mustafi but the North London based side have identified several alternatives as talks with the Germany international have dragged on longer than expected.
