Besiktas have made singing Newcastle United wonder-kid Daniel Barlaser a transfer priority according to Futbol Arena.

Per the source, Besiktas have made an enquiry for the rising star of Turkish origin but have yet to make a formal offer.

Besiktas have been keeping close tabs on the youngster as they push to bring in new talent from abroad.

The Istanbul giants have an impressive track record signing players of Turkish origin from across Europe and developing their talent.

Gokhan Tore was a Chelsea youth but was recently loaned to West Ham on a one-year deal.

Former Arsenal youth Oguzhan Ozyakup has become a star player at Besiktas over the past four-seasons playing a key role in winning the league title last season.

Ex Fulham youngster Kerim Frei is also building a name for himself at the club and has several interested clubs from the Premier League.

Barlaser was born in Gateshead, Newcastle and has been a regular for Peter Beardsley’s Under-21s, signing his professional contract with the club last season.

The young midfielder joined Newcastle aged nine and has been rising through the youth ranks.

The promising midfielder was part of the Newcastle first team matchday squad for December’s Capital One Cup quarter-final tie at Tottenham Hotspur on 2014.

Barlaser is of Turkish descent and represents the Turkish U-17 side at international level.

The 19-year-old has made 15 appearances for the Turkish national team at youth level.
