£20m Chelsea target faces uncertain Barcelona future

Barcelona team news

Barcelona are prepared to give Arda Turan a chance to prove himself to the technical team and manager over the pre-season period.

Sport revealed that Barca have recalled Turan one-week earlier than his other teammates who were on European Championship duty.

Per the source, Turan will have to prove he is a player of ‘value’ to Barcelona and he is expected to join the team for the friendly against Celtic on July 30 in Dublin.

Turan faces an uncertain future at Barcelona with several reports from Spain claiming that the La Liga champions will consider offers for the Turkish international over the summer.

Mundo Deportivo reported that Barca will listen to offers for Turan that match their £20 million valuation of the midfielder.

Premier League giants Chelsea as well as Arsenal are both reported to be in the race to sign the 29-year-old.

Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut has however, underlined on numerous occasions that Turan is happy at Barca.

Speaking to Emre Sarigul of Turkish-football.com [via the Guardian], Bulut said: “The interest [in Arda] is normal but the rumours saying he is leaving Barcelona are false, he is happy at the club.”

Bulut states that Turan wants to stay at Barca but cannot completely rule out a summer move for his client.

The agent told Calcio Mercato“I know nothing of Milan’s interest in Arda. At the moment I can only say that he wants to remain with Barcelona. I don’t know, however, what could happen during the transfer window.”
