£20m on-loan Liverpool youngster set to make debut against Kasimpasa

Liverpool youngster Lazar Markovic is set to make his Fenerbahçe debut on the weekend against Kasımpaşa in the mini-Istanbul derby according to Eurosport Turkey.

The report claims Markovic has reportedly adapted well to life in Turkey and has impressed his head coach in training.

Markovic joined the Istanbul giants on a one-year loan from Fenerbahçe towards the end of the transfer window but has yet to feature for his new side.

The 21-year-old was also included in the Europa League group stage squad. The Istanbul giants will take on Celtic, Ajax and Molde in Group A.

The Yellow Canaries are currently first in the Turkish Super League with seven points after three games.

Markovic joined Liverpool on a £20 million move from Benfica last season and scored three times in 20 appearances for the Reds.

The 21-year-old had seven goal in 49 games for Benfica during his time in Portugal.

Markovic also has three goals in 20 international appearances for the Serbian national team.
