Chelsea target given green light to leave Barcelona for £20m price tag

Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan has been given the green light to leave Barcelona according to Sport.

The report claims that Turan will be allowed to leave under two conditions. Firstly if Barca receive an offer that matches their £20 million valuation and secondly if the Turkish international makes a transfer request.

The La Liga champions would not stand in Turan’s path if these conditions are met. The Daily Star report that Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with a move the the 29-year-old midfielder.

Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut has stated on several occasions that his client is happy at the club.

Speaking to Emre Sarigul of Turkish-football.com [via the Guardian], Bulut said: “The interest [in Arda] is normal but the rumours saying he is leaving Barcelona are false, he is happy at the club.”

Bulut did however, hint for the first time that he could not rule out a move. Speaking to Calcio Mercato he said: “I know nothing of Milan’s interest in Arda. At the moment I can only say that he wants to remain with Barcelona. I don’t know, however, what could happen during the transfer window.”

Turan does have another four-years remaining on his contract so technically he is within his rights to stay at the club but he has revealed in the past that he would like to play in the Premier League.

The Turkish international revealed that he was looking for a house in the city in an interview with Hürriyet back in March 2015.

“I am thinking about buying a house in London nothing too fancy something like a 180 square meter flat I just would like a place in London,” Turan said.
