Manchester United’s out-of-favour midfielder Marouane Fellaini is the subject of interest from Galatasaray according to the Express.

The report states that Fellaini is wanted out by United fans who are at odds with his physical and playing style. The Express go onto state that the arrival of Paul Pogba will push Fellaini further down the pecking order.

The Express goes onto say that Galatasaray are interested in the Belgium international after failing to land Lucas Leiva from Liverpool. The Lion’s looked set to sign Lucas however, the Red’s boss Jurgen Klopp put an end to the move following an injury crisis at Anfield.

Meanwhile Mynet state that Galatasaray have launched a loan bid for Fellaini. The Belgium internatonal does however, want to fight for his place in the squad and he was named in the provision squad for United’s opening game of the season against Bournemouth.

He told MUTV“When you play for United you have to have competition. There are a lot of good players with quality, but I’m confident.

“Everyone has to fight for his place; I think that’s why you give everything on the pitch. It’s not easy, so if you’re not good or you don’t do well, the other players then take your place and I think they always push you to be the best.

“I think I can help the team, I can contribute, I can do well for this team. I think the manager trusts me – he knows what I can do, he knows my qualities and that is important. I want to give everything for the team.”

Fellaini is a controversial player who divides opinion among United fans and pundits. Croatian football legend Zvonimir Boban once described him as being unable to play football.

“Fellaini can’t play football. Seriously he can’t play football,” Boban was quoted as saying in the Daily Main in 2014.
