Tufan is capable of playing at the highest level according to Bursaspor manager Şenol Güneş. Former Bursaspor manager Irfan Buz described the 20-year-old as being a player that could, “easily play in England or Germany.”
The young midfielder has gone from obscurity to being linked with just about every European giant within the space of a season.
“Other big European teams have sent scouts to watch Ozan play…AC Milan, Juventus, Chelsea and both Manchester clubs, City and United,” Mehmet Tufan told Spanish newspaper AS.
Meanwhile German newspaper Bild reported that Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich have also been keeping tabs on the youngster.
The strongest link however, has been with Manchester United. Former Kasımpaşa manager Shota Arveladze expects Tufan to join the Red Devils.
“Ozan Tufan could join Manchester United within a short space of time, I know a number of European footballs biggest clubs are keeping close tabs on him,” Arveladze told Fanatik.
Tufan is starting to become a household name in Turkey but the youngster is still unknown abroad, below are a three facts you should know about the 20-year-old.

Statistically speaking Tufan is the highest rated player in the league under the age of 21 according to Whoscored. The Turkish international has also made more appearances (26) and provided more assists (6) than any other player from his generation.
Tufan works assidiously in midfield, averaging 2.2 tackles and 1.5 interceptions per-game and is just as impressive going forwards. The 20-year-old averages 40 passes -per-game (third highest in the team) and only Volkan Şen has provided more assists (8) than Tufan (6) for his side this season.
