AC Milan prepare €13m bid for Liverpool target Fernando Muslera [divider]
AC Milan are preparing a €13 million bid for Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera according to AMK.
The Uruguayan international played an integral in the Lion’s back-to-back title winning seasons – 2011-13 – and played an important role in Galatasaray reaching the Champions League quarter-finals last season.
Former Galatasaray president Ünal Aysal valued Muslera at €25 million and rejected previous offers for the but did admit that the club would consider an offer for the right price.
“I hope Muslera stays at Galatasaray for a long time but if we get a high offer we may consider it,” Aysal said.
Muslera joined Galatasaray from Lazio in a deal worth €12 million in 2011.
The 28-year-old keeper is reported to be happy at Galatasaray and underlined that he would only consider a move to England if he were to leave in a recent interview.
“The Premier League is my childhood dream,” Muslera said.
“It’s every players dream to play at a top club in England one day, however, that’s up to my club.”
Liverpool have been linked with Muslera in the past are are reported to be keeping tabs on the experienced keeper.
The Reds are rumoured to be looking for a replacement for current keeper Simon Mignolet.
