Agent denies Liverpool deal with Turkish giants amid reports that Crystal Palace have struck £27m deal

Liverpool have not agreed terms with Besiktas over the transfer of Christian Benteke according to his agent Eris Kismet.

Besiktas were reported to have struck an agreement in principle with the Reds over a loan deal following talks between club president Fikret Orman and representatives from the Premier League giants.

Kismet told Turkish-football.com: “There is no deal at all and nothing is happening with Besiktas.”

The latest developments follow the BBC reporting that Crystal Palace have just reached an agreement with Liverpool to sign Benteke.

Per the source, the clubs have agreed a £27 million fee which could rise to £30 million with add-ons.

Crystal Palace have reached an agreement with Liverpool to sign Belgium striker Christian Benteke.

The clubs have agreed a fee of £27m plus add-ons that could see the deal rise to above £30m.

The Belgium international is travelling to London to have a medical with Palace and finalise personal terms.

The Reds had already rejected two bids from Palace and Besiktas were banking on his asking price not being reached going into the last days of the transfer window which would have given them a better chance of pulling off the loan.

The Black Eagles will now continue efforts to sign a replacement for Mario Gomez who recently joined Wolfsburg on a permanent deal.
