Galatasaray fullback Alex Telles admitted that head coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu has a far closer relationship with the players compared to former manager Cesare Prandelli.
“I feel a lot more confident working with Hamzaoğlu,” Telles told Turkish-football.com reporters speaking at a press conference held at the Goldcity Hotel in Alanya, Turkey.
“It is very important for players to feel happy and valued, it is a great feeling to have your manager believe in you, Hamzaoğlu has this effect on me and the whole team.”
The young fullback struggled for first team football under former manager Cesare Prandelli.
However, under Hamzaoğlu, Telles has become a first team regular. The 22-year-old has played 90 minutes in the Lions last five Süper Lig matches.
Galatasaray have not lost a Süper Lig game in which Telles has played 90 minutes this season.
The Lions have won four and drawn one of the last five games in which Telles has played
The 22-year-old has played 16 times in all competitions for Galatasaray this season.
Telles joined Galatasaray on a €6 million transfer from Gremio last January and has made a total of 37 appearances for the Lions.
