Anderlecht deserved win says Hasi [divider]
Anderlecht deserved to beat Galatasaray in the Champions League Group D according to manager Besnik Hasi.
“I am delighted with our display today, we played well, we had many chances to score and we scored twice,” Hasi said.
“In the second half the defence stepped back too deep and we had some problems, but Galatasaray did not have many chances and we controlled the game.
“We are a young team. With [Fabrice] N’Sakala and [Bram] Nuytinck we will have a stronger defence. I will be happy to have them back again in two weeks.”
Hasi fielded a team with an average age of 23 against Galatasaray, a testament to the importance Anderlecht have placed in youth development over the last few years.
Anderlecht took their point tally to five following the win and secured a place in the Europa League.
Galatasaray remained on one point and have now conceded 15 goals in the Champions League.
