Ozbiliz transfer to Besiktas signals £7.4m West Ham target could be on his way out

Beşiktaş will unveil the transfer of Aras Özbiliz from Spartak Moscow in an official signing ceremony today before he leaves Turkey for Spain where he will join Rayo Vallecano on loan until the end of the season.

The Black Eagles shared a picture of Özbiliz boarding an aeroplane destined for Istanbul earlier today and the Armenian international is expected to arrive shortly.

The Istanbul giants released a statement on the stock exchange that negotiations with Özbiliz and Spartak Moscow are currently underway.

Turkish clubs listed on the stock exchange are obliged to disclose transfer talks to the public before announcing the completion of the transfer as a formality.

Özbiliz was unlikely to establish himself as a first-team player with Gökhan Töre as well as Ricardo Quaresma already battling for a spot on the right-flank and his loan to Rayo suggests that there will be no winter departures.

Töre is however, expected to be sold over the summer transfer window following the return of Özbiliz who will replace his role in the side.

The Turkish international winger has attracted interested from West Ham and Atletico Madrid.

Besiktas recently turned down a £7.4 million bid from the Hammers according to the Sun newspaper.

The Turkish international also has experience being at a Premier League club having risen through the ranks of Chelsea as a youth player.

Tore’s agent Ahmet Bulut also recently revealed that Atleti had also made an offer for the explosive winger over the summer transfer window but that Besiktas rejected the offer.

“I worked hard to bring Gökhan to Beşiktaş and he is really happy at the club I did offer him to Atletico Madrid over the summer but it did not work out I do not see him leaving over the winter,” Töre was quoted as saying by Fanatik.
