Barcelona had a pretty good evening at the Ballon D’or 2015 ceremony last night picking up several awards ranging from Lionel Messi winning player of the year to Luis Enrique picking up coach of the year.
Four Barcelona players were also listed in the team of the year – Messi, Neymar, Dany Alves and Iniesta.
The full 2015 Fifpro World XI team is as follows:
Neuer; Thiago Silva, Marcelo, Ramos, Alves; Iniesta, Modric, Pogba; Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo
Arda Turan missed the first half of the season due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club and did not make any of the categories but he did do his part for the team.
The bearded winger gave Messi maximum points as his first choice in the voting followed by Neymar and Luis Suarez – only the Uruguayan failed to make the team of the year.
Turan praised his teammates who made the team of the year calling them part of his ‘family’ and also referred to the winners as ‘legends’.
