Arda Turan felt like a student at a new school when he joined Barcelona

Arda Turan revealed that joining Barcelona was like when a student starts a new school in a recent interview on Turkish Super League broadcaster Lig Tv.

Turan revealed that Barcelona have a totally different philosophy to anything he was accustomed to before and that he will spend the new few months adapting to the club.

“There is football and then there is football at Barcelona it is totally different you feel like a student joining a new school,” Turan said.

“Barcelona have their own philosophy their own culture and traditions it is totally different to anything else I have experienced.”

The bearded winger joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid over the transfer window but due to the FIFA transfer ban the La Liga champions are unable to register Turan.

The 28-year-old will have to wait until January before his club can register him.

Turan is the most successful Turkish international in history having won almost every domestic trophy from the La Liga to the Europa League and was also part of the Atleti side that reached the Champions League final in 2014.

The beaded winger will however, be able to play for the Turkish national team and has been called up for the next round of European Championship 2016 games.
