Arda Turan passed al late fitness test to be included in Barcelona’s squad which took on Deportivo La Coruna yesterday evening.
The 29-year-old was expected to miss the game due to an inflammation
Barcelona confirmed that the Turkish international missed training earlier this week due to gastritis and that he is expected to sit out of the game.
However, Turan managed to recuperate and made the bench. Manager Luis Enrique opted not to field the Turkish international. Turan missed the 2-1 defeat against Valencia last week due to suspension.
Barcelona put an end to their poor run of form. The Catalan giants lost last three successive games against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Valencia prior to yesterday’s result. Barca have been knocked out of the Champions League and have seen their 10 point lead at the top of the table reduced to being leaders based on goal difference.
Turan is expected to be fit for Barcelona’s clash with Sporting this weekend.
