Arda Turan named the joint 28th best player in Europe last season

Barcelona star Arda Turan has been named the joint 28th best player in Europe for the 2014-15 season according to UEFA.

Turan’s teammate Lionel Messi was voted the player of the season while Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo came in at second and Luis Suarez was third.

The Turkish international midfielder joined Barcelona on a £24 million move from Atletico Madrid last season.

Turan won almost everything there is to win in club football at Atleti from the Europa League to becoming the first Turkish international to win the La Liga title.

Despite joining Barcelona last month Turan will not be able to play for the Champions League title holders until January due to the FIFA transfer ban.
