Arda Turan nominated for UEFA Team of the Year [divider]
Arda Turan has been nominated for UEFA.com users’ Team of the Year 2014.
The Team of the Year 2014 will be selected by users of the official UEFA website, users can vote for players they think should be in the team.
More than 6.3 million votes were cast in the UEFA.com users’ Team of the Year poll last year and UEFA are expecting a higher vote count for the 2014 team selection.
Turan became the first Turkish player to win a La Liga title when Atletico Madrid lifted the title last season.
The Turkish international was also part of the Atleti side that reached the Champions League final.
The 27-year-old has become an integral part of Diego Simeone’s side. The duo duo have lifted the La Liga, Copa Del Rey, Europa League, European Super Cup and reached the Champions League final together.
