Turan tweeted that Djokovic would win the final in fact he tweeted: “Djokovic will win don’t say I didn’t tell you.”

Indeed the Serbian star did end up beating Andy Murray in the final to win his 11th grand slam and sixth Australian Open title in straight sets. Djokovic has now beat Murray for the fourth time in a final and recorded victories in 11 of the last 12 matches against the Scottish player.

Turan also went onto congratulate Djokovic despite the fact he beat the bearded wingers sporting idol Roger Federer in the semi-finals however, the Swiss player still holds the record for winning the most grand slam titles in tennis (17).

The Turkish international winger described Djokovic as being ‘on fire’ and ‘on another level’ in his post-final summary of the game.
