Arda Turan reveals that Lionel Messi is the ‘boss’ of Barcelona

Arda Turan has made no secret that he admires Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi. The bearded winger went as far as describing the Argentinian star as a ‘gift from god’ in a recent interview.

“I have never seen anything like Messi he is a miracle from god and it is a joy to play alongside him,” Turan said in an interview with Sabah.

Turan has now revealed that Messi also happens to be boss of the team. The Turkish international took to Facebook to state that Andres Iniesta is his idol, Neymar is his brother, Luis Suarez is the joker of the pack and Messi is the boss.

Turan who wears the number 7 shirt setup Messi with his seventh league goal on seven minutes in what was his La Liga debut for Barcelona against Granada last week.

Messi has a total of 19 goals and nine assists in 23 appearances for the reigning La Liga champions this season.

Barcelona have won all five games since Turan made his debut in the 4-1 win against rivals Espanyol a fortnight ago and Messi has scored five times over the same space of time.

The 28-year-old already has two assists for his new side and has already established himself as a first-team regular.
