Barcelona will finally be able to register Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal despite signing both players over the summer transfer window.

The reigning La Liga champions were unable to register either player due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club which allowed Barcelona to sign players but restricted their registration process.

As a result neither Turan nor Vidal have been able to make a single appearances for the Champions League title holders this season.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique kept both players at the club instead of letting them leave on loan in an attempt to get them to settle into the team and adapt to the club philosophy and playing style.

Enrique stated that he believes Turan and Vidal will add that little something extra that has been missing from his side this season.

“The performances of Arda and Aleix Vidal will show how much they have adapted to the team,” Enrique told Turkish-football.com reporters at his news conference yesterday.

“I am happy that they are almost ready to make their debut. They have been waiting for this moment for a long time. They will add something extra to the team that we need.”

Turan and Vidal are both expected to make their debut in the Spanish Cup against Espanyol on 6 January 2016. Barcelona were held to a goalless draw in the first leg which was played yesterday.
