Arda Turan has stated his desire to remain at Barcelona despite enduring a difficult start at the Catalan giants.
The Turkish international was unable to play for the first six months of his Barcelona career due to a FIFA imposed transfer ban on the club.
Turan has gone onto make just nine starts for the Catalan giant and has been linked with moves away from the club.
“To wear this jersey alongside the likes of Iniesta, Messi, Suarez and Neymar is amazing,” Turan was quoted as saying by the Hurriyet.
“I will not give this up easily, I am willing to remain patient.”
Turan’s statement comes as a response to the Spanish outlet AS who recently reported that Turan was disillusioned with life at Barcelona and was looking for a way out.
The former Galatasaray midfielder was recently linked with a mega money move to the Chinese Super Lig. Mundo Deportivo (via Turkish newspaper HaberTurk).
Barcelona take on their city rival’s Espanyol in the La Liga this weekend.
