Arda Turan would be 'good choice' for Chelsea says Janusz Michallik

Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan would be good fit for the current Chelsea side according to ESPN football pundit Janusz Michallik.

Michallik stated that Turan would strengthen the Chelsea side and that he does play in a position which the Blues could do with improving over the summer.

“Well if you look at that system in a 4-2-3-1 Arda Turan on the side of a right hand of the three would be a good choice,” he said.

“Obviously a technical player and very intelligent I don’t think he gets enough credit for his defensive work and under Diego Simeone he has got a lot better he certainly knows how to win the ball and he certainly knows what to do with it.

“I think he would be a decent fit in a position that they needed let’s not forget in that position only Hazard has been very good.”

Chelsea could face competition from Barcelona and Manchester United for his signature according to the Guardian.

Turan will be parting ways with Atletico Madrid over the summer and the Turkish international tweeted that his agent Ahmet Bulut is in talks with up to four clubs.

Bulut also recently revealed that Turan will be leaving Spain and confirmed being in talks with three Premier League clubs.

“He intends to leave Spain this summer. It is his will to go out to play in the Premiership, that is where he would like to continue his career at this time,” Bulut told AS.

“His departure from Atletico is not easy because he has a clause of €41m. There are ongoing talks with three teams at the moment. I cannot say their names, but they are the best of England and European football.”
