Arda Turan's transfer to Barcelona could see Man Utd sign Spanish winger

Arda Turan’s transfer to Barcelona could lead to Manchester United signing the La Liga title holders winger Pedro this summer according to the Guardian.

The Turkish international completed his move to the Champions League champions from Atletico Madrid earlier this month. Turan has become the third Turkish player in history to join the Catalan giants.

The Guardian report stated that United are ‘poised to trigger the forward’s release clause of £22m.’

Pedro has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United since the end of the 2014-15 season.

The Spanish international could be available following the signing of Turan as he is no longer guaranteed playing time at Barca next season.

Pedro provided nine assists and scored 11 goals in 50 appearances for Barcelona last term.

Manchester United are currently in Seattle for their Summer tour and will take on Club América at 8pm local time on Friday. The Red Devil’s have already signed Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Depay this summer.
