Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger waxes lyrical about Dortmund star

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised Borussia Dortmund star Emre Mor once against in his latest interview with Turkish Super Lig broadcaster Lig Tv.

Wenger singled out Mor as being worthy of praise in the Turkish national team and revealed that he through the Dortmund man was one of the most exciting prospects to come out of Euro 2016.

“I really liked Emre Mor for Turkey I think he brings freshness and excitement to the the team,” Wenger said.

Dortmund surprised many when they signed Mor on a five-year deal just days before Euro 2016. The 18-year-old was an unknown player until then – unless you are a Football Manager enthusiast.

Perhaps Wenger is wondering why he did not spot the Mor himself? fellow Premier League outfit Liverpool were in fact closely linked and were actually favourites until Dortmund swooped in.

Mor is currently the youngest player to have provided an assist in Euro 2016 after setting up Burak Yilmaz with the opening goal in the 2-0 win against Czech Republic.

Turkey crashed out of Euro 2016 in the group stage but Mor did make one start for the Turkish national team and is expected to keep his place in the side for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
