Arsenal boss reveals whether 'assist king' will start against Watford FC

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed whether Mesut Ozil will feature for the Gunners for this weekends clash with Watford FC.

Speaking after Saturday’s 0-0 draw with last seasons Premier League champions Leicester City, Wenger stated that he is confident that the 27-year-old playmaker will be ready to start.

“Giroud does not look completely ready physically but that should improve every week now. Ozil I think as well, one more week will get them closer,” Wenger told Arsenal’s official website.

Ozil missed the first game of the season which saw the Gunners lost 4-3 against Liverpool at the Emirates.

The Germany international had an extended break after reaching the Euro 2016 semi-finals with Germany and has yet to reach 100 percent match fitness. Ozil made a second half performance against the Foxes and is expected to make his first start for the North London based outfit against Watford next at Vicarage road.

The former Real Madrid star provided 19 assists in the Premier League last season and was widely regarded as the Gunners player of the season despite.
