Arsenal will also be without Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain due to injury.

Mesut Özil is expected to start for the Gunners. Arsenal have won 14 out of their last 16 games in which the 26-year-old has played.

Mourinho may take a risk with Diego Costa after recovering from a hamstring injury but Didier Drogba will be more likely to start upfront.
