Arsenal fans react to Mesut Ozil's staring role in win over Everton

Mesut Özil played a staring role in Arsenal’s victory over Everton in the Premier League over the weekend.

The 27-year-old setup Olivier Giroud with the opening goal in what was his fifth assist in four games for the Gunners.

The Gunners moved into join first place with Manchester City following the win.

Özil received  rating of 8.26 from WhoScored for his performance against the Toffees.

Sky Sports football pundit Jamie Redknapp praised Özil for his assist and described his left foot as being a thing of wonder.

“Özil who has a wonder of a left foot was given the time to deliver and it really was a lovely delivery,” Redknapp said speaking on Sky Sports after the game.

The former Real Madrid man made five key passes, took one shot on target and provided one assist.

The Germany international made 69 passes during the game and maintained a passing accuracy of 88%.
