Arsenal in three way race to sign Barcelona star Arda Turan

Arsenal are involved in a three way battle to sign Barcelona’s out-of-favour midfielder Arda Turan according to the Sun newspaper.

The daily tabloid states that both Chelsea and Juventus are also interested in signing the 29-year-old this summer.

Turan won a haul of trophies during his debut season at Barcelona but was only used as a squad player by boss Luis Enrique. The flamboyant midfielder was however unable to make his debut until January due to a transfer ban imposed on the club by UEFA.

The period without football affected Turan’s fitness and the 29-year-old also disappointed for Turkey in Euro 2016 this summer.

The Sun go onto say that Juventus are also keeping tabs on Turan as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba if he leaves.

Turan only made 13 starts in all competitions fir Barcelona since joining from Atletico Madrid and provided three goals and four assists. The La Liga champions are prepared to cunt their losses on the midfielder they paid £35 million for.
