The former Real Madrid man went onto say that Arsenal know ‘exactly how’ to beat Liverpool.
The Germany international played a staring role in last seasons fixture against the Red’s scoring from a free-kick.
“I remember that we delivered a really convincing display,” Özil was quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.
“In the first half we decided the game because we had a high level of concentration and wanted to utilise our potential.
“We want to do that again this time. We’re at home and we know exactly how we can beat Liverpool. That’s what we want to do on Monday.”
The 26-year-old joined Arsenal on a record £42.5 million transfer fee and still has three-years left on his contract. The playmaker has established himself as a key player in the current Gunners side and is reported to be happy at the club.
Özil has a total of one assist in two league appearances for the Gunners this season. Özil enjoyed a trophy-laden pre-season winning the Asia Barclays Trophy, Emirates Cup and Community Shield.
