Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has heaped praise on Mesut Ozil following his assist versus their north London rivals Tottenham.

The 27-year-old has provided assists in his last six Premier League games.

“For me, he’s finally delivering this season,” Henry told Sky Sports in the post-match program.

“You can see his awareness, you can see his class – we all know about his touch.

“He’s a world champion but he wasn’t doing it week in, week out and now he is; early crosses, great passes behind the back four, one-twos.”

Ozil was selected as man of the match by WhoScored for his performance against Spurs Tottenham.

The 27-year-old received a rating of 8.24 WhoScored. Ozil made seven key passes, made one successful dribble and maintained a passing accuracy of 82%. Ozil also provided the assist for Arsenal’s equalising goal.

The Gunners missed the opportunity to overtake Manchester City who drew with Aston Villa yesterday.

Arsenal won the first north London derby of the season after beating Spurs 2-1 at White Hart Lane in the third-round League Cup clash back in September. The last time Tottenham beat Arsenal away was back in 1993.
