Mesut Özil has taken to social media to show off his new football boots which he will use in the upcoming year.
The Arsenal star posted a picture of his new football boot on Instagram along with the following caption, “Just received my boots for next year 🔥🔥🔥 NO LACES! 🚫See them in 2016 😉 #BeTheDifference.”
Adidas have been aggressively targeting the football market and recently launched the new ‘Be The Difference’ football boot range, the X and the Ace.
Özil signed a contract with Adidas in 2013 believes to be worth in the region of €25 million to promote and wear their products. The lucrative deal will run until 2020.
The Germany international played a staring role in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Swansea City in the Premier League last weekend. Özil took one shot on target, made five key passes and provided two assists. The Germany international maintained a passing accuracy of 90%.
Arsenal remain top of the Premier League table following their win over the Swans at the Liberty stadium. Özil now has seven assists in his last five league games – the highest record in the league. The World Cup winner has a total of eight assists and two goals in all competitions this season.
