Per-the-source, Ozil is reportedly at an advanced stage in negotiations with the club over a new contract worth £160,000-a-week.
Ozil currently has less than two years remaining on his current contract with Arsenal. The Mirror goes onto state that a club insider has suggested that they are “getting closer” to tying Ozil down to a new five-year deal.
The Germany international has been in inspired goalscoring form so far this season, scoring seven in 13 appearances along with three assists.
Ozil now has scored seven goals and provided two assists in all competitions for the North London based outfit this season. The Germany international racked up a total of 20 assists last term.
Arsenal are currently top of Group A in the Champions League. The Gunners take on their rivals Manchester United in the Premier league on November 19.
