Galatasaray are currently front runners in the race to sign Jason Denayer from Manchester City according to the Belgium based agent Saffet Balkan.

The Belgium internationals future at City is shrouded in doubt a after he was left out of the squad which faced Sunderland. The City Blues went onto win the game by a 2-1 score line however, Denayer was not named in the match day squad.

The Sun states that if City were to sell Denayer it would cost clubs interested £12 million. The tabloid newspaper goes onto state that the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has his eye on Denayer as a solution for his defensive crisis.

However, Belgium based football agent Saffet Balkan told Radyospor that he believes Galatasaray are favourites to sign the 21-year-old despite interest from elsewhere.

Speaking on Turkish sports radio station, Balkan stated: “Denayer will struggled for playing time this season and considering he has already settled in at Galatasaray he would prefer a move there.”

“City want to loan Denayer out, he will most probably leave on a temporary move,” he added.

Arsenal conceded four goals against Liverpool at the Emirates in their opening Premier League game of the season.
