Aaron Ramsey has heaped praise on his Arsenal teammate Mesut Özil in an interview with UEFA.
The Welsh international praised the Germany internationals eye for an assist and for how Özil ‘links up the play.’
“”He has a great eye for a ball – he has many assists – and his weight of pass is fantastic as well,” Ramsey told the official UEFA website when asked what it is like to play alongside Özil.
“He finds those little pockets of space very well and links up the play.”
Özil has come under fire since joining Arsenal on a record £42.5 million transfer from Real Madrid back in 2013.
The Germany international has provided five assists in his last four league games and has played an important role in Arsenal reaching the top of the Premier League table.
The Gunners take on Swansea next at the Liberty stadium on Saturday 31 October and Özil is expected to start.
Özil has been in terrific form of late following goals against Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
