Aaron Ramsey has stated that Chelsea’s playmaker Cesc Fabregas is the best player that he has ever played alongside.
The Welsh international played alongside Febragas before the Spanish international left to join Barcelona. Fabregas went on to return to the Gunners Premier League rivals Chelsea last summer.
“Cesc Fabregas is the best player I have played with at Arsenal. He played in the same position as me and to have him to look up to when I first came here,” Ramsey told the official UEFA website when asked who was the best player he had played with at Arsenal.
“He was playing every week, assisting, scoring. He was just a very accomplished midfielder, so probably him [was best].”
Özil has come under fire since joining Arsenal on a record £42.5 million transfer from Real Madrid back in 2013.
The Germany international has provided five assists in his last four league games and has played an important role in Arsenal reaching the top of the Premier League table.
The Gunners take on Swansea next at the Liberty stadium on Saturday 31 October and Özil is expected to start.
