Arsenal star included in former Tottenham forwards BBC team of the week

“His goal might have come from a John Ruddy mistake in the Norwich goal, but it was then beautifully taken advantage of by Arsenal and brilliantly executed by Mesut Ozil,” Crooks told BBC Sport.

Ozil has been in good form lately scoring goals against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League and rivals Manchester United. the 27-year-old also scored in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Norwich on Sunday.

The Gunners side looked set to record a comfortable victory over Norwich following Ozil’s early goal however, the Canaries managed to level the score before the break.

Arsenal were unable to to find the winning goal meaning they were unable to capitalise on Manchester United’s draw with Leicester City.

There was yet more disappointment as Arsenal’s star man Alexis Sanchez picked up what looked to be a hamstring injury. Laurent Koscielny also came off injured to add to Arsenal’s injury problems.

Arsenal host Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium next weekend in the Premier League.
