Arsenal star Mesut Ozil makes the most key passes in the Premier League today

Arsenal’s Mesut Özil made the most key passes in the Premier League today according to Whoscored.com.

The 26-year-old made a total of five key passes in the Gunners 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier today.

Özil also made 55 passes throughout the game maintaining a passing accuracy of 98%.

The Germany international made more key passes than any Palace or Arsenal player on the day. Özil also made more key passes than any player in Manchester City’s clash with Chelsea.

The former Real Madrid man also provided the assist for Olivier Giroud’s opening goal against Palace.

Özil will be glad with his performance following a disappointing display against West Ham last weekend where he was over shadowed by the Hammers 16-year-old defensive midfielder Reece Oxford.

The 26-year-old played a staring role during Arsenal’s pre-season and has been tipped as a candidate for player of the year by manager Arsene Wenger.
