“I wonder what he will do with Man City. He will be imprinting his football in England and people will be surprised,” Ozil was quoted as saying by the Guardian.
Guardiola will replace Pellegrini as manager of City over the summer after resigning from his position as Bayern Munich boss.
Ozil has never played under the stewardship of Guardiola but he did play for Real Madrid while the Spanish manager was in charge of Barcelona.
The World Cup winner won the La Liga title during his time at Real before a record £42.5 million transfer to Arsenal in 2013.
Ozil has yet to win the league title at Arsenal but has lifted two FA Cup titles. The Gunners are still in the title race this season but are currently 11 points behind Leicester City with a game in hand.
The Arsenal playmaker is currently on international duty and is expected to feature against Italy tonight.
