Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has a ‘new’ half-sister

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil officially has a new half-sister according to AMK. The Turkish sports newspaper claim that a German court ruled that DNA results show Denise Kosek is indeed related to Ozil.

The story goes back a few months when Kosek took Ozil’s father to court suing him for paternity payments.

Kosek claimed that she was born three years after the midfielder, to another woman but Ozil’s father had reportedly denied the claims.

She told German tabloid Bild: “My father was married to Gülizar, the mother of Mesut, when he built a second home with my mother Monika.”

Kosek has a child herself which would make Ozil the uncle if the latest reports are indeed true.

The Germany international of Turkish origin is currently on international duty and already has one assist to his name.

Germany will take on Slovakia in the Euro 2016 second round at Grand Stade Lille Métropole on Sunday. The Arsenal playmaker is expected to start as he has done in all three group games so far in the tournament.
