Arsenal’s experienced manager Arsene Wenger has praised Mesut Ozil for developing his game.
Wenger stated that Ozil now makes more runs into the box than before and went onto say that the 27-year-old is an ‘absolutely unbelievable player.’
“He has added runs into the box now. You watch how many times he’s in the box compared to what he did before,” Wenger told Arsenal FC.
“I think he has become an absolutely unbelievable player.”
Ozil is set to become Arsenal’s record earner according to the Italian website Tutto Mercato Web.
The report states that Ozil is set to be rewarded with a new contract worth approximately £8.2million-a-year – which would be the most expensive salary package the club have ever offered to a player.
Ozil has been in sensational form this season and has won back-to-back Vitality Arsenal Play of the Month awards over the last two months.
Arsenal take on Manchester City on Monday in a critical league encounter which could see the North London based side go top.
