Özil has been in great form for Arsenal setting up 10 goals in his last 11 league games which is the best record in Europe’s top five leagues – England, France, Germany, France and Italy.
The 27-year-old has provided an assist in his last six league games – a Premier League record.
Özil was left out of the most recent Germany national team call up but is expected to start for the Gunners against West Brom next week.
Molby also stated that Liverpool must improve their set pieces and that Jurgen Klopp must make it one of his priorities to do so.
“One thing he [Klopp] could perhaps be working on is our set pieces,” Molby wrote in the Liverpool Echo.
“For several years now I’ve thought we’re asking for corners and free-kicks to be absolutely perfect.”
Liverpool have scored just three times from set pieces this season but Arsenal have only been marginally better putting away four goals form set piece situations.
