Arsenal star Mesut Ozil on course to break Frank Lampard's chances created record

Mesut Ozil on on course to break the chances created record set by Frank Lampard in 2008-09.

The 27-year-old has already created 106 chances in the Premier League this season with 12 games to go.

Ozil’s has a current rate of 4.4 chances created per game. The former Real Madrid playmaker could create 159 chances this season if he maintains his form.

Ozil played a key role in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Sunday. The Germany international provided his 17th Premier League assist in the process – the highest figure in the league.

Arsenal moved two points within leaders Leicester City following their victory over the Foxes.

The North London based side take on Hull City in the FA Cup this weekend then host Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League next week.
