The Arsenal playmaker Mesut Özil has continued his preparations for the next season despite being on holiday in Los Angeles.
Özil posted a picture on Instagram of himself playing a game of foot-tennis along with the caption, “Game, set and match for team #ozil! Enjoying the holiday sun and preparing for an exciting new season. Hope you’re also having a good time!”
The Germany international was one of his sides star performers in 2015 winning two Vitality and one PFA Fans player of the month awards. Özil provided six assists in 22 Premier League games this season for Arsenal.
Özil up the season with his second consecutive FA Cup trophy. The World Cup winner missed a large potion of the season due to a knee injury he sustained during Arsenal’s defeat to Chelsea back in October.
Arsenal finished the season in third place and will directly qualify to the UEFA Champions League group stages next season.
