The Gunners will also be without Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny according to head coach Arsene Wenger.
“The Liverpool game will come too early for them,” Wenger was quoted by ESPN as saying after the Gunners’ 8-0 rout of Norwegian side Viking in Stavanger.
Wenger will be without his star playmaker, striker and centre-back for the important clash against the Premier League giants.
The French manager will be hoping all three are available the following week when Arsenal travel to take on champions Leicester City.
Wenger will have to play either Theo Walcott or Chuba Akpom upfront unless he opts for Alexis Sanchez as the Gunners have yet to sign an additional striker this summer.
Ozil had an extended break after reaching the Euro 2016 semi-finals with Germany. Fellow Germany intentional of Turkish origin Emre Can is however, expected to be included in the Liverpool squad despite playing in the semi-final clash against hosts France.
Can is however, also a doubt as he has been unable to complete a full 90 minute game over the course of the pre-season campaign.
