Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has hinted that he wants Arsene Wenger to sign another striker following yet another Instagram incident.
An Arsenal fans Instagram account going by the name ‘Arsenal_Worldwide’ shared a picture mocking the current striker situation at the club.
The message read: “When you go into the new Premier League season and Olivier Giroud is still you only striker.”
Ozil liked the picture as can be seen in the screen shots below.
The Gunners have been in pursuit of a new striker over the summer but have not been able to sign one as of yet.
Ozil created 146 chances in total this season which is more than any other Premier League player since the 2003-04 season – making Giroud’s goal scoring record look even worse.
This is not the first time Ozil has took a dig at Giroud over social media.
Ozil reportedly took a dig at Giroud liking an Instagram post in May which blamed the French international for him not being able to beat Thierry Henry’s all-time assist record.
The picture pointed out that the Germany international of Turkish origin reached 15 Premier League assists by December 22 and needed just six more in 2016 to beat Henry’s record of 20.
