Arsenal star Mesut Ozil the second best attacking midfielder in Europe [divider]
Arsenal star Mesut Özil has been found to be the second best performing attacking midfielder in Europe since the turn of the year.
The World Cup winner scored 100 in the CIES Football Observatory’s latest performance rankings.
Chelsea attacking midfielder Eden Hazard was found to be in third place while Manchester City’s Jesus Navas came in at third with a score of 86.

The scores and rankings are determined by six ‘key performance indicators’ – rigour, recovery, distribution, take on, chance, creation and shooting.
The Football Observatory is a research group within the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), a private foundation affiliated to the University of Neuchâtel, in Switzerland.
Özil was selected as Arsenal Vitality Player of the Month and has provided the highest number of assists for his side since his return from injury.
The World Cup winner has also covered more distance since his return than his teammates.
Arsenal are currently in third place in the Premier League, just one point behind second place Manchester City.
