Arsenal star Mesut Ozil wins Germany National Team Player for the Year

Mesut Özil has won the Germany National Team Player for the Year 2015.

The 27-year-old won the fan vote and the results were published on the German FA’s official website.

Özil has followed up his World Cup win with Germany by leading them to the Euro 2016 championships.

The Germany international has been in great form for Arsenal this season providing 16 assists in 19 league games.

The 27-year-old was not nominated for the 2015 Ballon D’or 2015 awards yesterday but if he keeps this us and helps the Gunners win the league he may just make the shortlist next year.

Arsenal are currently first in the Premier League and take on Stoke at the Britania stadium this weekend. The North London based side are currently level on points with Leicester City and three points ahead of third placed Manchester City.
