Arsenal star Mesut Özil has admitted that Premier League football is the most physically demanding he has ever experienced in his career.
Özil revealed that he had to work on his strength and fitness to compete in the league.
“You can only succeed here when you’re on top level physically,” Özil told the Express.
“That’s why I’m working as hard as I never worked before in my life. My body is more stable and I feel fresher. You need that in England.”

The World Cup winner has come under fire from sections of the press over recent weeks but underlined that he has nothing to prove to anyone.
“I don’t need to prove them anything. But it is correct that I have to work harder to reach my goals,” he added.
Özil has actually covered more distance than any of his teammates since returning from injury according to the Telegraph.
The 26-year-old is expected to start in the Gunners Premier League game against Newcastle United on the weekend.
Arsenal could move into second place with a win against the Magpies if Manchester City draw or lose against West Brom on Saturday.
