Arsenal star Ozil & Galatasaray striker Podolski called up to Germany team

Arsenal star Mesut Özil and Galatasaray striker Lukas Podolski have both been called up to the Germany national team.

The Galatasaray striker won his first trophy for the Lions on his debut in the Turkish Super Cup.

Liverpool youngster of Turkish origin Emre Can has been called up as has Ilkay Gündoğan of Borussia Dortmund.

In total there are three players of Turkish origin in the current German national side.
