Özil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for a record £42.5 million transfer fee in 2013 and has won back-to-back FA Cup titles since making his move.

The 26-year-old midfielder still has two-years left on his current agreement with the Gunners and is reported to be happy at the club.

Özil is also expected to be given his preferred number 10 role playing in behind the striker next season according to the Mirror.

The daily newspaper claim that Arsene Wenger will move Özil from the left wing to a more central attacking midfielder position in a bid to get the best out of the playmaker.
